Research Systems Upgrade

The following system update is for the attention of postgraduate research students.

We are preparing for an upgrade to the University’s Research Information System (Elements) on Monday 10 August 2026, between 7am–9 am. During this time, the system may be temporarily unavailable while the upgrade is completed.

This update introduces two helpful new features designed to support you as developing researchers:

  • CV import, making it easier to build or update your research profile

  • Improved search engine visibility, helping your profile appear more prominently online and increasing the reach of your work

If you already use Elements, please take a moment to review your profile at https://elements.wlv.ac.uk so you can benefit fully from these improvements.

If you do not yet have an Elements profile or need support after the upgrade, please email elementssupport@wlv.ac.uk and the team will be happy to assist you.
