University ranked 9th in the UK for overall student satisfaction in latest National Student Survey

Dear students,

This week, we shared the exciting news that the University of Wolverhampton has achieved excellent results in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2026. You can read the update here. Now that we have had the opportunity to take a closer look at the data, we wanted to share more about what these results mean and thank you for helping us achieve them.

We are delighted to share that analysis of the results indicates the University of Wolverhampton ranks 9th in the UK for overall student satisfaction. Alongside this remarkable achievement, the University has also been ranked among the top 10 per cent of UK higher education institutions for Teaching, Learning Opportunities and Assessment, and 13th overall in the sector.

We are especially proud to have achieved outstanding rankings in several key areas:

  • 8th in the UK for Assessment and Feedback
  • 12th for Learning Opportunities
  • 14th for Student Voice

These are fantastic results and reflect the experiences, opinions and feedback shared by you, our students.

What makes this achievement particularly special is that improvements have been seen across the majority of our courses. This demonstrates a University-wide commitment to continually enhancing the student experience and ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Whilst we celebrate this success, we remain focused on building on these achievements and continuing to provide an outstanding learning experience for every student.
