International students are progressing into degree and postgraduate study with a 100 per cent pass rate after completing programmes at the University of Wolverhampton International Study Centre, helping to build the skilled workforce needed by businesses, public services and communities.

Students from the Centre's September 2025 and January 2026 cohorts achieved a 100 per cent pass rate across all pathway programmes, including Foundation, International Year One and Pre-Master's courses. The results mark a significant milestone as the first cohort progresses from the International Study Centre into degree-level study at the University of Wolverhampton.

The students will now continue their studies across a wide range of subject areas including business, law, computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, psychology, public health, health and social care, biomedical science, finance and accounting.

The achievement reflects both the determination of the students and the support provided through the International Study Centre, which offers small class sizes, dedicated academic and pastoral support, and access to University facilities from the start of students' studies. Teaching is aligned closely with degree programmes, helping students develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to succeed in higher education and beyond.

A number of students are also progressing through specialist science pathways, including routes into pharmacology programmes, supporting the development of future healthcare professionals.

David Atkinson, Director of Educational Partnerships said:

"What makes this achievement particularly significant is that these are the first students to progress from the International Study Centre into degree-level study at the University of Wolverhampton. They are now progressing across a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, taking the next important step towards achieving their academic and career ambitions."

Mark Elliott, Centre Director at the University of Wolverhampton International Study Centre, said:

"Congratulations to all our students. Achieving a 100 per cent pass rate in our first year is a fantastic accomplishment and reflects the hard work, determination and ambition shown by every student."

"These results also recognise the dedication of our academic and student support teams, who have worked closely with students to help them settle into university life, grow in confidence and achieve their goals. We are excited to see them progress into their chosen degrees and continue their success."

Cate Ball, Head of Learning & Teaching at the University of Wolverhampton International Study Centre, added:

"I am absolutely delighted to celebrate a fantastic 100 per cent pass rate in our very first year. This is an incredible achievement and a real testament to the hard work and determination of our students, supported by the dedication and commitment of our academic team."

"I couldn't be prouder of what our students have achieved and look forward to seeing them take their next steps and building on this success as they move into degree-level study."

Student Soha, who studied International Year One Business, said:

"The practical work on my course and the one-to-one sessions with my tutors really helped me progress with my studies. The diversity at the International Study Centre has also meant I've been able to meet people from lots of different backgrounds, which has been a really enjoyable part of the experience."

The International Study Centre is delivered in partnership with Malvern International and supports students from around the world in preparing for undergraduate and postgraduate study in the UK. The partnership combines academic preparation with dedicated student support, helping international students thrive in higher education and progress towards their career ambitions.
