Meet the Team

Meet the team in the Corporate Compliance Unit.

Maryam is the Secretariat Administrator providing support across the Corporate Compliance Unit and the Complaints and Student Casework Team. Her role encompasses a wide range of administrative, governance, and operational responsibilities, including managing financial processes and budgetary systems, updating University webpages, and supporting diary management and minute-taking for key meetings.

Abi is the Head of Compliance – Risk and Internal Assurance, responsible for leading the corporate internal audit function, and embedding and overseeing a robust risk management framework.  She also ensures the organisation meets its statutory and regulatory obligations through effective assurance of external returns and reporting. Abi works closely with stakeholders across the business to strengthen accountability, manage risk, and support a culture of continuous improvement and good governance.
