Why choose this course?

The Foundation Year is designed for students who may not yet have the qualifications needed to join the degree at Level 4, but who are ready to take the next step into Higher Education. It will help you build the academic, digital and personal skills needed to succeed at university, while also introducing you to key areas of business and management.

Once you successfully complete the Foundation Year, you can progress directly onto Level 4 of the BA (Hons) Business Management or choose to move onto another course within the Business School portfolio.

As a student on the BA (Hons) Business Management with Foundation Year course, you will begin with a year of Level 3 study before progressing onto the three-year undergraduate degree. The full course can be completed in four years.

Under current Student Finance England arrangements, students on this route may be eligible for up to five years of funding. If you decide to transfer to another Business School degree after successfully completing the Foundation Year, you may still be able to do so, although this could reduce the amount of funding available to four years, in line with the length of your studies.
